Cell phone in a can of Coke
Hmm... I wonder if you could detect this thing in the 12-pack while it's on the shelf?
Coke has received FCC approval for a GPS-equipped cellphone that fits in a can of soda and which will instantly connect those who discover it to an operator who will tell them that they've already won an SUV. The GPS then allows the Coke prize-patrol to home in on them and get a reaction shot.

Vending machines a-go-go
I've seen some of the wacky vending machines that they have in Japan on other sites, but this is nuts. Farm fresh eggs? Fishing line and bait? 2L bottles of beer? Wild.

A new batch o' homebrew
Cooked up a batch of American Bock and it's in the fermentor now. I'm shooting for something Shiner Bock-ish in character.
Last brew was an Irish Red (O'Mathis) that turned out well. A bit strong, somewhere between Red and Stout, but very tasty.
Billygoat American Bock:
7lb Pale 2-Row (Cargill)
1lb Crystal 120 (Crisp)
Liberty hops (Bittering)
Willamette hops (Finishing)
Whitelabs Pilsen Lager liquid yeast
Mmmm... bock....
